Prayer to the Elements

spirits of the wind, direct with clear purpose and intention this energy within that i may contribute in meaningful ways to the transformation of society

spirits of the water, fill me, feed me, nurture me throughout this journey, let me know thirst so that i can taste water, let me feel hunger that i may learn to eat, let me face death that i may discover life

spirits of the fire, purify my mind, heart, soul and sword, that i may walk fearlessly, with courage, integrity, truth and wisdom, never forgetting my charge, always remembering my purpose

spirits of the earth, root me in the ancient wisdoms and teachings of All My Relations, past and present, seen and unseen, that i may humbly appreciate my place in history, learn from what i've been bequeathed by the ancestors and boldly manifest my destiny

light beings and elevated ancestors help me to gain hindsight, insight, foresight, wisdom and understanding that i may know when, how, what, why and where to do, to be, to show up, to step back, to sit down, to fight, to burn down, to build up, to sum up, to delegate, to pause, to stop.

as i ask for all these things, i honor and give thanks to those who've come before me, those who stand alongside me and those yet to come.
