Gratitude Prayer to Tree Relatives

my tree relatives, i honor you today

with you, i breathe dear ones

your gracious presence beckons me to slow down and listen

i do. initially out of respect for your eldership and then

because the wisdom of your advisement

opens my soul to listen, to hear and to even learn something

i thank you dear ones for being who you are and for

reminding me to be who i am. your kin in this sacred web of life.

i am grateful dear ones, for all you are yesterday, today and tomorrow
